Students of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) organised a concert titled
Save Hridoy on August 4 at the BUET campus to rasie funds for Hridoy, a BUET student suffering from leukemia. He needs an immediate bone marrow transplant.
Vice Chancellor of BUET, professor Ali Murtuza said in his speech, "Hridoy is fighting for life. Let us put in our combined efforts to help him".
Members of BAMBA such as Miles, LRB, Nagar Baul, Feedback, Warfaze, Renaissance, Maqsud' O Dhaka, Prometheus, Dalchut, The Trap, Obsecure, Aurthohin, Pentagone and Artcell performed at the show. The show lasted for 8 hours and attracted a large audience.

Ami taray taray rotiye debo and received rounds of applause. Warfaze and Dalchhut dedicated the songs
Shomoyer chholona and
Aj tomar mon kharap holey to Hridoy. Maqsud' O Dhaka performed their 'claim to fame' song
Melay jaire. One of leading bands LRB performed their popular songs
Bangladesh, Shei tumi keno eto ochena holey, Mon Chailey Mon Pabi and Ek din Ghum Bhanga Shohore.
"It may be the largest crowd BUET has seen. It was a great day to come out and enjoy a show and listen to some great music. This concert will give us a chance to remember those who have passed away from the disease and those who have survived it," said a BUET student Shafiul Alam.
The programme was sponsored by Unilever and Grameen Phone. BTV will telecast the whole programme.
