"Shadhinota
Program" Musical Event
|
|
|
 |
Bangladesh
Association of North Texas (BANT) organized a Musical program called
"Shadhinota Program" at Irving Art Center on March 29th
in Dallas, Texas, USA.
This program was organized to observe our Independence day. Famous
superstars from Dhaka such as Tapan Chowdhury, Shumona Haq, Bipasha
Hayat, Taukir Ahamed came to perform.
Shumona Haq came first to the stage and sang 5/6 songs in front
of a full house audience. Rezia Parveen sang quite a few songs but
some technical problem almost gave the crowed a headache. Tapan
Chowdhury was on the stage for a while and he sang almost all of
his hit songs. Later Shumona Haq and Rezia parveen joined him for
few duet songs.
Tawkir Ahamed and Bipasha Hayat staged a drama written by Tawkir
Ahamed himself. Everyone enjoyed this drama as the drama touched
many of our social norms and its conflicts while a guy who live
in USA goes to marry a girl who lives in Bangladesh. The show ended
with that drama.
The organizers were happy about the way the show went and also with
the crowed as they were expecting much less. Tapan chowdhury already
told us that he already got a positive indication for next FOABNA
concert which will be organized some time later this year.
